Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Styled & Sorted mobile app (the “App”), operated by Styled & Sorted LLC (“S&S,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Accounts

• You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.

3. Free and Subscriber Features

The App offers a free tier and a paid subscription tier.

• Free accounts can browse outfits and filter by scenario, using the categories available at any given time.
• Subscriber features include BFF Chat, meal planning and recipe recommendations, and personalized Taste Engine recommendations.
• We may change which features are free or paid at our discretion, with notice for material changes.

4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation

• Subscriptions on iOS are billed and managed through your Apple ID via App Store In-App Purchase.
• Subscriptions on Android are billed through Google Play Billing.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Cancel anytime through your Apple ID account settings (iOS) or your Google Play / Stripe billing settings (Android). Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period, except as required by law or the applicable app store’s policies.
• Free trial terms, if offered, will be disclosed at the time of signup and convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.

5. BFF Chat and AI-Generated Content

• BFF Chat is an AI-powered assistant that provides style and meal suggestions based on your preferences. Its responses are generated using third-party AI language model technology (currently Anthropic’s Claude).
• BFF Chat’s suggestions are for general lifestyle purposes only. They are not professional styling, medical, nutritional, or dietary advice, and shouldn’t be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional, particularly for any medical dietary restriction.
• BFF Chat has a daily interaction limit. If you reach it, BFF Chat will let you know in character, and the conversation will resume the next day.

6. Shopping and Affiliate Links

As an Amazon Associate, Styled & Sorted LLC earns from qualifying purchases made after you click a product link in the App.

• Tapping a product opens Amazon in your device’s default browser, not inside the App.
• Product images shown in the App reflect items in our own database and may not always show Amazon’s current price, availability, or exact listing. Always confirm price and availability on Amazon before purchasing.
• We are not responsible for the products, pricing, or purchase experience on Amazon’s site.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the App or its underlying systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App’s operation.
• Misuse BFF Chat, including attempting to extract, reverse-engineer, or misuse the underlying AI technology.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding third-party content like Amazon product listings and Spoonacular recipe data), is owned by Styled & Sorted LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You’re granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

10. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DON’T GUARANTEE THAT RECOMMENDATIONS FROM BFF CHAT OR THE TASTE ENGINE WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Styled & Sorted LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us, if any, for the App in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose, or (b) US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Apple App Store Terms (iOS Users)

• This section applies only to your use of the App on Apple devices, and applies in addition to, not in place of, your agreement with Apple governing use of the App Store.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
• In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App to you, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
• Styled & Sorted LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your use of it, including product liability claims, legal compliance claims, and consumer protection claims.
• Styled & Sorted LLC, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any claim that the App infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple, and Apple’s subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple has the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
