This Privacy Policy explains how Styled & Sorted LLC (“S&S,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Styled & Sorted mobile app (the “App”).

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the App, and information from third-party services connected to the App.

1.1 Account Information

• Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Profile details you choose to add, such as style preferences and body/fit information.

1.2 Usage and Preference Data

• Outfits you view, save, favorite, or dismiss (“Wore It” and thumbs-down actions), used to personalize recommendations.
• Meal and recipe interactions, including saved recipes and dietary preferences.
• Messages you send to BFF Chat, our in-app styling and meal-planning assistant.
• General app usage data (screens viewed, features used, session length).

1.3 Subscription and Payment Information

Payments are processed by Apple (App Store In-App Purchase) on iOS and by Google Play Billing on Android. We do not directly receive or store your full payment card details; we receive confirmation of your subscription status from these providers.

1.4 Information From Third-Party Services

• Recipe and nutrition data is retrieved from Spoonacular based on your dietary preferences and searches.
• BFF Chat is powered by third-party AI language model technology (currently Anthropic’s Claude). Messages you send to BFF Chat may be processed by this third-party technology in order to generate responses.
• If you tap a product or shopping link in the App, you’ll be directed to Amazon in your device’s browser through our Amazon affiliate program (Amazon Creator API). Amazon’s own privacy policy governs any information you provide on their site.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide the App’s core features: outfit browsing, meal planning, and BFF Chat.
• To personalize recommendations based on your saved preferences and past interactions (our “Taste Engine”).
• To process and manage your subscription.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the App.
• To communicate with you about your account or changes to our services.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

• With service providers who help us operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting, Spoonacular, Anthropic, Apple, Google, Stripe), solely to provide their respective services.
• With Amazon, only if you choose to click through an affiliate link; we do not send your account information to Amazon.
• If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of S&S, our users, or others.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

4. Your Choices and Rights

• You can edit or delete your saved preferences and outfit history in-app.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at hello@styledandsorted.com.
• Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to request a copy of it, or to opt out of certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@styledandsorted.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA; contact us for more information.

5. Marketing Communications and Push Notifications

• We may send you marketing emails about new features, styling drops, or promotions. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails.
• We may send push notifications, including both app-related alerts (e.g., BFF Chat responses) and promotional content. You can manage push notification permissions in your device settings at any time.
• Regardless of your marketing preferences, we may still send transactional or account-related communications (e.g., subscription confirmations, security alerts) that are necessary to operate your account.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the App’s features. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Users

The App is currently intended for use in the United States. If you access the App from outside this region, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the App.
